• Glass printing

The transparent finishing

This means thousands of possibilities for you: whether you want to stylishly decorate a glass door, print on your shower cubicle or give your glass cabinets and furniture elements an aesthetic upgrade – everything is possible!

?Thus it is not only possible to plan décors for individual glass surfaces, but also to choose completely individual designs that cover entire glass walls.

Types of Glass

The DIMAX® glass printing technology is applicable to a range of different glass types such as float glass, ESG, VSG and TGV. In addition to printing on normal clear glass we provide digital printing on brilliant glass.
The maximum print size is 6,000 x 2,000 mm.
Compared to the common film decoration technique or primer pre-treatment, with DIMAX® direct printing, all non-printing areas of the glass remain transparent and crystal clear.

Printing Technology

With DIMAX® glass printing technology, decors are directly printed on glass. A special thermal process then ensures the adhesion and stability of the prints in everyday use.

The DIMAX® glass printing technology can be used on one side of the glass or between VSG and TVG glasses.

Resolution: 600dpi

Colours

Not only the technology of digital glass printing is a world novelty, but also the Satinato finish option, which was not digitally feasible before. Therefore, in addition to the four classic colours, you can now create a huge variety of different colours including white and Satinato, available as single colours as well as in combined printing. By directly printing the Satinato colour, we replace complex and environmentally hazardous sandblasting procedure.

Our special USP: coloured Satinato prints.

During normal colour application the colours remain transparent. However, we have developed new technologies which allow the glass print also to appear opaque. Consequently, nothing stands in the way of adhesive bonding or backlighting of the prints.

Resistance

Previously, water resistant digital print on glass could only be achieved by using colours with unsatisfactory adhesion. With the DIMAX® glass printing technology, all non-printing areas remain crystal clear.

The resistance of the print to water and steam is described and warranted in the ASTM D870 and ASTM D2247 standards. For quality assurance purposes we continuously conduct and document scratch hatch tests for adhesion control.

. The adhesion properties are described by the ISO EN 2409 standard, which uses the scratch hatch tests. According to this standard, the DIMAX® glass prints resist all stresses of every day usage including use in kitchens, showers as well as sanitary facilities, showing very good results

In shop fitting, decoration is exposed to particular stress. Conventional film prints fail in this environment. Torn off edges and corners are constant companions.

The solution to the problem is DIMAX® glass print.

Instructions for care

According to the standards ASTM D870, ASTM D2247 and ISO EN 2409, DIMAX® glass prints are suited for every day usage. Therefore, normal household cleaning does not endanger the prints in any way.

After an intensive moisture or vapour exposure of the DIMAX® glass print (e.g. shower), we recommend wiping it with a dry soft cloth and allow drying for at least 2 minutes and then proceeding with the normal cleaning procedure.

With regards to the installation (bonding) of the printed glass we recommend the use of acetic acid-free silicones (e.g. Ramsauer Dichtkleber 640).

Please note that we cannot accept any liability or warranty in case of non-compliance with the above instructions!
